The Thomson Foundation of the UK is looking forward to announcing the winners of the Inquirer Award 2009 at a special Awards ceremony that will be held in Amman, Jordan on the 17 of February.

We received a total of 154 entries to the Print Media category; a total of 39 entries to the Television category and a total of 24 photojournalists took part in the Photojournalism category.
The majority of the Print and Television entries came from Palestine, while the majority of the photography entries came from Syria.

Once all the entries were received, the name of the reporter was blotted out and the entry was given a number and then sent out to the judges. The first round judges have now completed their assessments.

هذا وقد شارك في المسابقة 154 تحقيق صحافي من الصحافة المكتوبة و39 تحقيق صحافي تلفزيوني بالاضافة ل24 مصور صحافي حيث وردت غالبية التحقيقات من الصحافة المطبوعة والتلفزيونية من فلسطين أما معظم مشاركات فئة التصوير الصحافي فقد كانت من سوريا.

بعدما تم استلام كافة المشاركات تمت تغطية اسماء الصحافيين وأعطي كل تحقيق رقما ومن ثم ارسل للجنة تحكيم المرحلة الاولى التي انتهت الآن من عملها في تقييم المشاركات.
